Does anyone remember - or have any information about - the Loud family who lived in Police Station Road?
George Loud (born in Somerset but relocated to London) moved from Peckham to WM and was living in Police Station Road in 1911. I should point out that this is not my own research, but that of another descendant living in the west of England.

I would like to know if it is possible he emigrated to America by Dec 1810. Vermont borders with Canada, so it may be possible that he emigrated from England to Canada.
(However if you have questions about the site, wish to update your posting or add photographs or links, please let us know using the Contact Us menu option) I am trying to find more information on the WELLS who appear in the Ryarsh Parish church registers in the mid-late 1700s. I have checked all the immigration records in Eastern Canada and Easten America between 17 but did not find any WELLS with the correct age.
There is a note in the register stating that baptisms were continued in another book with a subsequent comment saying that they had later been transcribed in to this register. There are no records of burial or marriage for James at Ryarsh.
With the change of father's name does this confirm your James.
Harriet was a midwife and they had 9 children together including your grandmother Margaret. Thomas was born to a Thomas Brooker but used the surname Allingham from his mother's first marriage to William Allingham.
George and Matilda's other children were: George A Loud (b. They lived in one of the nissan huts and it was freezing!!! Re: Basted Cricket Club - at one time captained by a teenaged Peter Hopgood. The club had its idiosyncratic ground on a hillside overlooking the Bourne Valley.
The first proven fact I have of him is when he married a Persis EARLE on in Windsor Co., Vermont, USA.
Course, it is possible that not all passenger records have been recorded.
I expect parents have a different idea but childen loved it. Hope Snopper Pete might be extending a stay in counties west of West Sussex. I've found her and her siblings, but can't seem to go any further back.
